Hiking Bkt Broga - 20th November 2010

I know that it's kind of late to post stories about something we've done way back but it's rather interesting with the teamwork and bonding that we've experienced.....

Our company created a CSR Day dated 20th November 2010....which our department did something extraordinary...by not visiting the old folks home, neither the disabled children or the needy ones....BUT we did something rather challenging but exciting by hiking Bukit Broga, Semenyih to clean up that area...back to nature....

And the story goes....

We reached the parking lot at 6.30am which was still dark but not scary coz quite a number of people are hiking....parked there with the cost of RM2 per entry...opposite the rabbit farm. My friends tailed me & my sis all the way as I hv the GPS to navigate us there. Kinda hard unless u know where the hill is located as the signboard is not so clear. Another way to find out is that it is located nearby the Nottingham University campus and also an organic farm.....

Then, we waited for the rest to come...some came easily but some got lost at the highway....once everybody was there, we did some warm up...I sincerely declare that I m not fit for all this kind of activities.....although was an athlete before but when I stop, I stop for good.....nehhh....gotta go on with life...our Core Values Champ lead us with the simple exercises.....

After that, we were broken into our groups and there should be teamwork....you never now how challenging hiking would be if u r all alone...huhuhuhu....

One for the photo before everybody sweats...
All we need to do is to hike up the hill and clean up the rubbish thrown by irresponsible people, plant some trees for the future....not only have fun but share laughters in between....the track is challenging (talking from an amature point of view).....
Loved the smell of nature....it is kinda different when u hike...when u see people going downhill, u will make way and probably help them by reaching out your hands....the same as u hike....some strangers greeted us asking why we are so yellow (uniformed) and we told them about our mission....some questions that we asked them were,"Is it still far to reach the peak / top?"...Some feedbacks were,"No, u can make it in another few minutes...", "It is too far away if you hike in that pace", "Well, it would take about less than an hour, about 45 minutes".....and we tried our best....Some of us continued to hike without stopping too long as it would create tiredness....but with focus and full of determination, we hike...and hike....stop and breathe and hike again.....don't forget to drink your H2O......or else you'll find yourself dehidrated.

With full of support, we tried our level best to reach the "cradle rock"....seems like Genting's....tired but full of fun....

The panoramic view of Bukit Broga....to be shared and admiring God's Almighty creations....undefeatable....

It felt so good being so high above the sea level......very interesting..... recommend to the readers to try it someday.......and the work still remains....

These photos are super gorgeous....we collected rubbish everywhere......

Take a break gals, u've worked so hard..........

Did our best, even at the most complicated areas.......and felt so happy with the bags full of rubbish collected...

The conquerors of Bkt Broga...proud and free to enjoy the nature at its best......can u find someone at the tree.....proof of our achievements....

On the way down....still gotta smile for the photos....work hard and smart at the same time....do u know that if u smile, ur burden is being uplifted???
Then, we started to gather the rubbish collected and waited for our friends to reach the gathering area from the top......totally awesome...
Another group photo....just smile, don't open ur mouth or else the flies will enter tremendously...hihihihi...

As a proof that we've been there...
Enjoyed our CSR this way, extraordinary and creatively....wonder if others would want to follow next time...
We had our lunch at the Nasi Ayam Gemas....full of laughter, fun although we have cramps all over our bodies.....

Wanna join us?
Where to next year? We still don't have any idea...would it be an annual event? who knows.....and the story goes on and on............
